This ring is a carnelian hand-carved intaglio oval stone of 30mm x 14mm, which features a dragon. The stone is set in a solid full bezel of 9ct yellow gold and has a showcasing band.
What’s to say about this stone i saw it years ago on my travels and I had to have it, the size of the stone was overwhelming and I thought I would deal with this later well the years rolled on. It was forgotten and left in one of the vaults of Serpent Coves and it sat for a long time there. But then as I was doing my pondering and looking for inspiration this stone called to me. It said quick quick! Let’s make something simple show me off and it needs to be now!! So I did, I thought gold and ring so then I crafted I use wax and forged a frame for this piece it needed to be the showcase. What I found fascinating is its year of the dragon and I was born a dragon…..
