January’s custom is a Sinking Skull Signet. This piece came to life while sketching on a plane and I wanted to play with the idea of above and below the ground. The top is a nice crisp clean finish and the inside (below ground) being dark and dirty.
The signet features a 3D printed and cast 9ct gold skull which has a 1.3mm black diamond in one eye socket. On the inside of the ring is the other half of the skull with an engraved root pattern and a hidden 18ct yellow gold bone. with the boarder of the ring read "deadmen lie still" a nod to a riddle of what does the liar do when he is dead. The Sinking Skull signet is size W it can be sized up or down but only a few sizes each way.
