Story
Like most of our haunting characters the Mummy comes from a distant time and place. This ghoulish guy has woken from his crypt and is on the hunt for the raiders of his regal tomb. The raiders that took his treasures are now long gone but this doesn’t stop him from waking when the black moon is especially dark.
They say he wakes at this time to try and hide his rotten complexion in an attempt to fade into the crowds and dark shadows of the night. Others say it’s part of the curse, that he will forever rise on these dark nights until his tomb treasure is found. Using ancient mystical magic this is one foul rotten foe but it can be bested with fire.
Inspiration
What more can I say I’m a child of the 90’s and 00’s two words Brendan Fraser! The mummy was a movie I loved and would watch over and over again. It was just perfect for me. I traveled to Sydney once a month for three years to study jewellery at TAFE and I would catch the train or bus with hours upon hours to kill so I would draw. This is where I came up with this drawing which all these years later I have finally turned into a ring. The Mummy of the blackened moon came to me as I stared out the train windows at night and would imagine all sorts of things.
