There are a lot of origin stories of the lucky horse shoe, but one that was told to me when I was younger claims it comes from the great land of Ireland.
There once was an Irish Blacksmith who was working away one day when the devil came to him requesting a set of shoes. The Blacksmith knew it was the devil, so he nailed a red hot shoe to the devils foot. When the devil walked out he couldn’t bear the pain so he ripped the shoe off and swore never to go back in that place. This is where the tradition started of putting a horse shoe at the door to keep the devil away. Over the years it’s formed into a symbol of luck just like the four leaf clover. We have all tried to find one in our lives but they are extremely rare hence if you find one it’s good luck.
The Luck of The Irish Signet is an oval topped signet with a seven holed horseshoe and four leaf clover on the top. It says “Luck of the Irish” around the top.
