The Ring

The Koi Pond Ring is a sterling silver offset signet; it sits on the finger with a lean. On the top of the ring is a water texture effect that catches the light and flickers like water in the sun. On the two shoulders are two koi carps, one is blackened, and the other is white. This is to create a yin and yang on the sides of the ring.

Packaging

The ring comes in a sustainably sourced wooden box as well as the Serpent Cove  treasure chest with all its Cove trinkets. Standard postage within Australia included, express and international postage available at an additional cost.

Story

The koi is a fish that holds a lot of symbolism and pride in many cultures. The fish can be a simple being, swimming in a suburban backyard pond or be a fine breed of pedigree and lineage. Some will fetch up to $1.8million. They are known to come in many colours and patterns, making them a sort after fish. They have a rich history of being powerful and never giving up, like the tale of the koi swimming up stream to turn into a dragon

Inspiration

As someone that has done martial arts for a lot of my life, the ideas and philosophy of Asian cultures have been embedded into me. The concept of the yin and yang is one of them; like a Jedi, you need to be balanced. In order to be happy and healthy, the body must be as healthy as the mind and vice versa. I’ve wanted to do a yin and yang ring for years but couldn’t work out the right one, but then it came to me in a moment of clarity. The yin and yang should be Kois in a pond of tranquillity, and here we are
