This stone is mystical. It has deep colors that flicker across a spectrum of light, with a frosty fog that settles at the bottom. I would place this stone on my bench and gaze into it as I worked, pondering what I should create. Then it came to me—I envisioned a setting with claws like those of a beast and tendrils that flowed. I took a piece of rose gold and hammered and forged the band. Usually, this process involves a lot of trial and error, but this time, the metal simply came together. Perhaps it’s the mysterious power of the dragon cut.
This ring is crafted from 18ct rose and white gold, featuring a Tangawizi Garnet (from Tanga, Tanzania) measuring 7.4 x 5.7mm, dragon shield cut, weighing 0.78ct, with a hidden 1mm diamond at the base.
